A NEW range of helical in-line gear units and gearmotors with up to 66 per cent more torque than its predecessors is being launched in Australia and New Zealand by Bonfiglioli .
The compact and energy saving new C1 series - available in eight key torque classes from 100-1500Nm - increases the performance of each frame size and increases the ratio density for all standard units while reducing overall length.
Incorporating a versatile ratio range advancing in four stages from 2.6:1 to 1481:1 (with even larger ratios available on request), the latest C series exploits the modularity and parts commonality of Bonfiglioli's A, C, F, S and W products.
The latest C1 series combines durable but lightweight construction with the strength and reliability of nickel chrome steel gearing and heavy duty bearings which are capable of carrying very high radial and axial loads.
Major features of the C series include:
* Up to 66 per cent more torque when compared to the original C series.
* Die cast gear cases and covers for frame sizes 11, 21 and 31 are machined on dedicated machining centres.
* Vented oil plugs for all sizes and for the most popular mounting positions.
* An additional base gear ratio and many new ratios overall.
The uncluttered lines of C1 series gearmotor housings are easy to clean and suited to industries such as food and materials processing.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) design techniques have been used to help eliminate weight and bulk from areas where they are not needed in the new C1 series.
The new C1 series is being introduced in two stages, with the first stage covering three sizes from C11 to C31.
