Innovative drive solutions provider, Bonfiglioli Transmission (Aust) has appointed a man with more than 25 years experience in key areas of its business to head its expansion in Queensland.
Peter Hiscocks becomes State Sales Manager responsible for an area extending from Grafton in NSW to Far North Queensland, encompassing major Bonfiglioli markets in areas such as industrial engineering, mining and resources, ports, sugar and materials handling projects.
Bonfiglioli’s Australasian Managing Director Mr Malcolm Lewis says Mr Hiscocks brings to his position an ideal combination of local knowledge and extensive experience in the transmission industry, having held senior Queensland State positions within the industry for the past 15 years.
“Because of the importance of this market – particularly in the expanding area of heavy planetary and helical drives – Mr Hiscocks is also being supported by a widely experienced State Sales Engineer, Mr Alan Young.
Mr Hiscocks and Mr Young will be part of the Bonfiglioli team exhibiting innovative heavy drives at the Queensland Mining Exhibition in Mackay from July 27-29, displaying advanced heavy industrial drives engineered for robust service in demanding industries. Exhibits will include one of the new HD helical drive series coupled with a compact, powerful Trasmital planetary drive. In addition, the latest HDO160 bevel helical - mounted on a baseplate with fluid coupling brake and electric motor – will be complemented by other members of the totally new modular design HD series.
BTA has commissioned at its Australian headquarters a totally new assembly and testing line for the HD series as part of a series of investments totaling more than $20 million to extend its leadership in range, stocking, engineering capabilities and customer responsiveness.
