Industrial motors and drives innovator Bonfiglioli is expanding again with the opening of a new office and warehouse in Perth.
The extra space and service facilities will be useful in servicing the rapidly growing demand in Western Australia, particularly from resources and infrastructure sectors, says the Managing Director of Bonfiglioli Transmission (Australia) Pty Ltd, Mr. Malcolm Lewis.
“We are experiencing strong demand across the board for our advanced drives technologies, including Trasmital planetaries and the innovative new Heavy Duty HDP Parallel Shaft and HDO Bevel Helical Series,” says Mr. Lewis, whose Australian Operation is celebrating its 20th anniversary of operation in Australia, with a growth of more than 30 percent in the recent year.
The new Perth office opening and a recent $10 million investment in stock and technology comes after both Australia and New Zealand contributed record performances in 2007, says Mr. Lewis.
The new Perth office will be supported by the company’s new national headquarters in Sydney with expanded stocking, local assembly and testing facilities.
The increased stocking levels built up throughout Australasia in 2008 will help satisfy the burgeoning demand for technology such as:
- New generation HDO/HDP large helical drives, which are especially suited to demanding materials handling tasks. The HDO/HDP drives are also being combined with Trasmital planetaries to produce powerful high torque drive combinations especially suitable for low speed applications.
- Trasmital drives can be specified and assembled in Australasia. Planetary gearbox combinations are now available with peak torque outputs of up to a million Nm. Applications range from cranes and winches, conveyors and feeders, mixers, agitators and aerators, clarifiers and thickeners.
- New high technology range is designed to facilitate the adoption of advanced mechatronics and automation technology in Australasia through Bonfiglioli’s EAD division.
Bonfiglioli has introduced to Australasia a series of its new worldwide product releases, including the compact Trasmital planetary series, heavy duty HDO/HDP helical drives, the C, A and F helical gearboxes, new W worm series and a broad range of variators, clutch-brake units and torque arm models.
