Bonfiglioli Transmission (Aust)  have been honoured at the Australian Bulk Handling Awards for their commitment to the Australasian market.

The award comes as Bonfiglioli celebrate their 20th anniversary of operation in Australia and 10th anniversary of establishing a full branch Down Under to serve the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The judges at the 2008 awards praised Bonfiglioli Transmission (Aust) for their major investments in new stock, technology and facilities and initiatives, which showed a major commitment to the market and its customers.

Bonfiglioli Transmission (Aust) have more than doubled their sales in Australia over the past five years and are reinvesting to ensure their clients receive top standards of range, technical support and delivery performance.

The latest initiatives announced by the Managing Director of Bonfiglioli Transmission (Aust), Malcolm Lewis, include an $A12 million investment in stock and technology to position the company for further expansion in 2009. He also detailed further investment in local assembly and testing technology at the company’s new Australasian headquarters in Sydney, where nearly $10 million has been spent to provide a state-of-the-art facility.

Lewis also announced new national and international production facilities that respond to Australasian and international demands for more of the company’s technically advanced heavy duty drives, including HD and Transmittal types.

Bonfiglioli Transmission (Aust) are commencing local assembly of the HD series during 2009 and are expanding their broader assembly and testing facilities to enhance response to customer needs for customised drives for heavy duty applications, such as mining, quarries and materials handling. A major benefit of this new initiative is quicker deliveries of these heavy duty drives and engineering of them to customer specifications.
