Bomac Engineering were chosen as suppliers for a rope access system for a major building in Victoria.
The architect had taken into consideration all the elements of good design including the need for natural lighting, the awareness of heating and cooling and greening of the surrounding areas.
This makes for a comfortable working environment. However, behind the louvers, large areas of glass are required to be maintained and this is where the Bomac Altrac Rope Access System was called upon.
Altrac has ability to span wide areas between supports and may accommodate multiple users. Part of a good rope access system is to make provision for the retrieval of personnel, should an incident occur for whatever reason.
In other cases, a separate system may have to be called upon to recover an unconscious or injured member of the working team.
However, Altrac is a rigid rail system that is not only light but also strong, making the retrieval of personnel less traumatic by maintaining its integrity.
Although in this instance a rope access safety system was required for the maintenance of a building, Altrac is easily installed in existing factories to provide safety for employees over trucks, trains, planes, vats and other areas where safe access is required.
