TWO of Bomac Engineering Pty Ltd 's latest projects show off its ability to adapt a crane system to almost any situation.
In one instance, the customer needed to keep as much free floor space as possible. The free-standing Altrac jib crane was created with a column-mounted vacuum pump rather than the traditional floor pump, to use as little floor space as possible when mounting the crane.
The light weight and strength of Altrac also allowed the jib arm to be very long, offering the operator a greater range of movement. The vacuum lifting foot was designed to adjust to a variety of sizes of boxes.
In another project, the problem was a lack of ceiling height. The customer wanted to create the greatest range of lift in these restricted circumstances, so Bomac designed an inverted Altrac jib crane with the arm brace below rather than above the arm itself.
If one of Bomac’s standard designs just isn't right for the customer’s particular materials handling needs, Bomac will find a solution that will fulfil these needs.
Altrac cranes are easy to operate and move freely with the operator without requiring additional effort to swing the arm or roll the trolleys.
Altrac comes as a pre-engineered, modular structure in kit format that the purchaser can install. The track is self-cleaning and won't corrode or flake off.
All Bomac Engineering products are compliant with Australian safety codes, including Australian Crane Code AS1418.
Bomac is Australian owned, and its Altrac products are Australian designed and fabricated.
