Bizcaps Pty Ltd in collaboration with Zebra Direction created an online product catalogue for dairy distributor Murray Goulburn that now enables instant access to product information for its mobile sales force.
The online product catalogue allows the sales team to provide customers with up-to-the-minute information on inventory, stock, pricing and the latest product specifications.
Web marketing guru Zebra Direction developed a marketing portal for the Murray Goulburn group, which accesses multiple databases to deliver the most current stock, pricing, product details and artwork for each of the 300+ items in the product catalogue using the Bizcaps Enterprise MDM middleware system to synchronise data across multiple platforms.
Zebra Direction MD Frederic Couturier worked with Bizcaps to help Murray Goulburn develop an online product manual, which allows the sales force to generate printable Product Information Sheets that can be left with the customer.
Frederic explains that information about stock and pricing is sourced from the company’s SAP system, while catalogue details come from the Bizcaps catalogue, and the data is merged into the MDM tool with marketing information such as features and even images. Merging images and artwork on the fly allows sales staff to create a product flyer for each presentation that is up to date each time.
In addition to reducing the double-handling of information, there’s no requirement for printing flyers in bulk, reducing wastage while enabling the sales staff to put a presentation together really quickly and print it out immediately if they need to do so.
