Bestech Australia have introduced the VIP Sensors Model 2100A series triaxial accelerometer, a stud mounted piezoelectric accelerometer designed for general vibration measurement on structures and objects.
The VIP Sensors Model 2100A series triaxial accelerometer is light, compact and strong. It uses PZT-5 piezoelectric material and housed in an aluminium case. Accessories include cables and a mounting stud.
The accelerometer transmits its low impedance voltage output through the same cable that supplies the constant current power to each channel. These accelerometers have a typical output sensitivity of 10mV/g and the amplitude linearity is below 1%.
DC power sources of 12 to 28 volts can be used, while temperatures of up to 120ºC and down to -20ºC are problem free. The 2100A accelerometer has a range of 5000g and there is a shock limit of 2000g pk and base strain of 0.0002 g/µstrain.
The Model 2100A also utilises an integrated circuit (IC) memory chip for storing Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) information. The 2100A triaxial piezoelectric accelerometer is useful for various vibration measurement applications.
