Bestech Australia offer the KP series of pore pressure gauges, from TML, Japan. These devices are used to measure pore water pressure in ground, sheet piles, piles and boreholes. The KPA-PA pore pressure gauge is attached to a pile or a diaphragm wall and is buried in the ground to measure the pore water pressure. The KPB-PA pore pressure gauge is buried directly into a borehole to measure pore water pressure in bedrock.
The KPC-PA/KPD-PA pore pressure gauge is a small version of the KPA-PA/KPB-PA pore pressure gauge, although the KPC-PA can be buried in the ground by itself to measure pore water pressure.
These pore pressure gauges feature the dual structure that makes them resistant to lateral pressure. Therefore, high-accuracy measurement can be made even if soil pressure changes. These pore pressure gauges are available in capacities that vary from 200kPa to 2MPa with rated output at approximately 1mV/V. Non-linearity is approximately at 1% of rated output and the temperature range of these pore pressure gauges is 0 to 60°C. Each model uses a 40µm filter mesh. All these models are protected to a rating of IP 68.
