Bestech Australia presents the AST4500/4510 submersible pressure sensors from American Sensor Technologies.
Submersible pressure sensors are a range of high accuracy, fully stainless steel media isolated pressure transducers intended for use in the measurement of liquids compatible with stainless steel, polyurethane and polyolefin.
These pressure sensors are suitable for industrial and water management applications such as liquid level tanks, ground water level measurement, petrol fuel tanks, earthen and concrete dams as well as wastewater canals.
The level sensors are completely sealed for submersion, yet vented through the cable to account for barometric pressure changes. The welded housing is tested in-house via a helium leak tester to ensure proper protection. The conductors of the cable are also isolated from the outside environment to keep the sensor operational for long-term use.
With a removable nose cone, the AST4500/4510 submersible pressure sensors can also be installed outside the tank through a ¼” NPT pipe connection. In this configuration, the sensor continuously monitors the tank level through a threaded connection outside the tank, yet remains fully submersible for applications in flood-prone environments or severe wash-down conditions.
Submersible pressure transducers are available with voltage or 4-20mA outputs. The high strength stainless steel construction contains no silicone oil, welds or internal O-rings. Gauge pressure measurements are available in ranges of 0-1 to 0-100 psi.
The pressure sensor’s accuracy is within ±0.25% of the measurement range and it has a protection rating of IP68. This pressure sensor is ideal for applications in harsh environments that require high accuracy, long-term stability and performance.
Submersible pressure sensors are available in Australia and New Zealand from Bestech Australia Pty Ltd.
