Bestech Australia presents the GSM-2 remote data transmission unit and data logger, from Keller. It integrates a GSM unit and sends the logged data by email or SMS. This data transfer works both ways, from and to the GSM-2 module, allowing remote data read-out and configuration.
The main applications for this remote data transmission unit are level measurements in groundwater, wells, tanks, drilling holes, water supply and wastewater.
When connected to an external level sensor, the GSM-2 remote data transmission becomes a complete level modem logger. This means that the user does not have to visit the measuring location anymore to receive the measured data. This eliminates the need for big installations such as poles for solar panels and antenna, because it fits into standard measuring points with 2 inch tubes.
The remote data transmission unit is powered by a DD 3.9V/32Ah lithium battery, and low power consumption means that the battery will last for years.
The built-in barometric sensor enables robust AA-measurements and takes care of real-time barometric compensation. The system is housed in a 48mm diameter x 330mm long tube, which is waterproof and easy to install (housing fits easily into standard size tubes).
Free software is provided with the GSM-2 remote data transmission, which reads the emails or SMS and stores the data in an SQL database. Alarming SMS/emails are also offered.
