Bestech Australia presents the thermoIMAGER TIM160, a miniature real-time thermal imager with USB interface. This incredible technology comes from Micro-Epsilon, Germany. The infrared thermal imager can measure temperatures from -20 to 900 degrees, with good thermal sensitivity of 0.1 K. The system has exchangeable lenses with different field of view (FOV) such as 9 degrees, 31 degrees and 64 degrees. The optical resolution is 160 x 120 pixels.

It is a plug and play system, and the USB 2.0 interface is used for the power supply and operation. Therefore, no external power supply is required. It features a real-time video recording at a frame rate of 100 Hz. The software will store the data to a file, which allows playback at user defined speeds. This makes the thermoIMAGER TIM160 thermal imager is a perfect tool for R&D applications, failure diagnostics or process monitoring.

In addition, the software can be used as a runtime application where the user will be able to program and configure a custom environment with multiple monitoring windows, alarms, hot spot localisation and line profilen. A programmable process interface, hard wired input and output (PIF in) enables external control and communication for the emissivity of the target material, trigger functions and shutter control or alarm outputs.

There is a range of optics that is factory calibrated to allow easy exchange of optics without recalibration for different applications. Weighing 250 g, the thermal imager has analogue input and outputs and cable lengths of up to 20 m.
