Spectrotilt Ratiometric Electronic Inclinometer

Bestech Australia  offers Spectrotilt Ratiometric Electronic Inclinometer, a fully signal-conditioned single axis tilt sensor.

By combining a proprietary glass/ceramic hybrid electrolytic tilt sensor with custom electronics, the Spectrotilt has both the performance of higher priced sensors and the cost of less capable solutions.

Designed to operate in physically demanding environments with an operating temperature range of -40° to +70°C, Spectrotilt is ideal for numerous applications like:

• Construction equipment (boom angle, safe load indicators)
• Road graders and pavers (blade angle)
• Wheel alignment (caster and chamber measurement)
• Antenna position (satellite dish elevation angle)

Features include:

• ±70° total sensing range
• 0.001° resolution
• 0.05° repeatability
• ESD and EMI protection
• Aluminium housing

The start up time of the sensor is less than 1 second and the weight is 80 grams. It requires an input voltage of +5 to +15 Vdc and input current of 0.5mA.

Spectrotilt has standard options of vertical or horizontal mounting configurations, and a choice of output levels (scale factor). The viscosity of the fluid inside the sensing element can be altered, to decrease susceptibility in high vibration environments. Custom sensing ranges, cable length and type, and connectors are also available.

Spectrotilt is a product of Spectron and is distributed in Australia and NewZealand by Bestech Australia.
