Bestech Australia has introduced a new model of dual function static torque and force sensors that features two independent outputs, one for torque and one for force.

These M-2396 model force transducers are specifically designed to measure the cutting force of drills, but they can also be applied to a number of similar applications.

The sensors are available in full scale ranges from 0.5kN (force)/5N.m (torque), to 2kN/50N.m. Input impedances are 700Ω/350Ω (torque/force). Sensitivity is nominally 1mV/V and recommended excitation is from constant 2 to 12Vdc.

Several compact in-line Lorenz amplifiers are optionally available for use with these force transducers for applications that require high level, industry standard analogue and digital output signals.

Precision is rated at 0.2%FS (torque) and 0.3% (force). Overload rating is 130%FR for both parameters.
