Bestech Australia and NIDA Corporation conducted a successful workshop as part of the 2013 road show in Quest Docklands, Melbourne Metropolitan Region, attracting 17 professionals from people from TAFEs around Victoria.
NIDA’s newest 710A model is a single phase installation eletrical test panel, providing a comprehensive platform for practical testing of students in the functionality of low voltage general electrical installations. The 710A panel provides lighting circuits, receptacle circuits, and appliance circuits that randomly insert non-destructive faults into the test panel by computer (software) control via the ‘fault master’.
The 710A package also includes a bank of test questions for testing students on their knowledge prior to testing their skills. The students use the KEW3132A insulation tester to determine if the low voltage electrical installation meets the requirements of new installation standards. The test categories contain Continuity of Earthing, Insulation Resistance, Polarity, Correct Switching and Fault Loop Impedance among others.
The 710A electrical test panel offers knowledge based practical test, computer controlled faults, faulted and non-faulted scenarios, over 100 random fault scenarios, tracking of student inputs for min/max, standards and measured results, and instant grading and assessment.
All NIDA electrical/electronics training systems (130E, 360S) along with application circuit card sets have fault capability to enable student troubleshooting and ensure unbiased testing as all faults can be given individually and randomly with seamless integration of NIDA software and site located instruments.
