Bestech Australia presents the series 8111/8112 miniature pressure transducers, from Burster. These sensors have been specifically designed for challenging applications involving sensitive, tricky and critical positions subject to demanding specifications.
Due to its miniature design, these pressure transducers can be used in applications spanning almost every branch of engineering. Suitable for both gaseous and liquid media, these pressure sensors can be fitted in any orientation, and used for both static and dynamic measurements. Typical applications include tool and gear making, precision mechanics, aeronautical and aerospace engineering and also medical technology or food processing.
The miniature pressure transducers have a flush mounted diaphragm of diameter 3.6mm or 8.0mm, with connecting M5 or M10 assembly thread, meaning they can be easily mounted and tightened with a sealing ring. The housing and sensor is made of stainless steel for the smaller 8111 and titanium for the slightly larger 8112. The pressure transducers have an operating temperature of 200°C as well as 75°C, with measuring ranges of up to 350 bar available with non-linearity being below ±0.25%FS. The components of the pressure transducers are laser welded and designed such that any distorting forces arising in the sensor housing are decoupled from the measuring membrane. This results in stable values and high accuracy.
These miniature pressure transducers are especially useful in the food processing industry, where there are many strict regulations on quality. In breweries, these pressure transducers have been used to control the exact pressure within bottling plants – directly on the spot and simultaneously with the closure of each bottle.
