Bestech Australia  offer easy-to-use Micro-Epsilon’s multiNCDT Eddy Current displacement sensors, which can be used as the monitoring devices.

When a certain strain (crack widening) is exceeded on the frame construction a timely warning is given or the production system can be switched off. This is done by having the displacement reading in the limit switch module output as a voltage proportional to the displacement, which can then be compared with two preset voltage levels. The function of the strain system is also monitored via limit switches.

The Eddy-Current displacement measurement system functions accurately and without physical contact. It has a measuring range of 0.2mm and accuracy to within 0.01mm. Dirt, dust, moisture, oil and other dielectric materials are not detected in the measuring gap that enables to provide accurate measurements. The system has a simple, rugged construction and is completely free from wear as well as no maintenance is required.
