Bestech Australia offer the eddyNCDT 3300 high precision eddy current displacement sensor, from Micro-Epsilon, Germany. Eddy current sensors from Micro-Epsilon are used in applications where harsh ambient conditions are present and where maximum precision is required.
The eddyNCDT 3300 displacement sensor is designed for industrial use in factory automation, for machine monitoring, for inspection and for measuring and testing.
The eddyNCDT 3300 displacement sensor provides resistance to high pressure and extreme temperatures. The sensors are robust and have a protection rating of IP67. As a result of its variable coil geometry, the miniature eddyNCDT 3300 sensor has housing dimensions of a few millimetres.
A new and modern controller conditions the sensor signals ready for the user. Measurements are output as voltage and current. They are also displayed in metric or imperial units on the graphical display of the controller.
The functional features of the eddyNCDT 3300 displacement sensor system are extended by limit monitoring, auto-zero, peak-to-peak values, minimum, maximum and selectable low-pass output filters.There are several measuring ranges available, from 0.4 to 80mm. Linearity of the displacement sensor is ≤±0.2% of the full scale output, and resolution can be lower than 0.005% of FSO. The temperature range for the sensors and cable is a wide -40 to 180°C, and temperature stability is 0.015%/°C. The power supply used can be ±12 VDC (100mA) or 5.2VDC (220 mA). The factory calibration and three individual configurations can also be stored on the controller unit.
