Bestech Australia  presents the new TIM160 USB ‘plug and play’ thermal imaging camera systems from Micro-Epsilon for R&D, failure and fatigue diagnotics as well as process monitoring applications.

Designed to capture, record and monitor thermal images at 100Hz in real time, the USB thermal imagers are supplied with software that enables the user to record the data streaming via the USB cable to a computer.

The user can play back the data in alphanumeric and graphical formats as well as images of the target material or product being targeted in real time, frame by frame or in slow motion. Alternatively, the stored data can be viewed on-line while the camera is connected.

The software provided with the TIM160 USB thermal imagers can be used as a run time application enabling the user to program and configure a customised enviroment including multiple monitoring windows, hot spot localisation, alarms, line profiles and other parameters.

The software also allows monitoring and adjustment of the emissivity of the target object or material, trigger functions, shutter control, alarm functions and various settings.

The capability of the USB thermal imagers can be extended using a range of high precision lenses including standard, telephoto and wide angle options.

Each TIM160 thermal imager is supplied with a tripod mount, USB cable, operation manual, one selected lens, and the processing and analysing software. A special water cooled housing option is available for high temperature environments in addition to options for portable and field applications.

The TIM160 thermal imagers find application in solar panel R&D, electronic device R&D, thermal analysis of mechanical components under test, extruder monitoring, hot roll mill monitoring, and quality control laboratories.

The thermal imagers can operate in temperature measurement ranges from -20ºC to +100ºC, 0ºC to 250ºC and 250ºC to 900ºC based on the model. Spectral ranges are from 7.5 to 13µm and system accuracy is ±2% or ±2ºC.

Bestech Australia provides all necessary pre- and post-sales support for the complete range of Micro- Epsilon products including the TIM160 USB thermal imagers as well as several non-contact temperature and displacement measurement devices.
