Bestech Australia present the Micro-Epsilon PI (process imager), with USB 2.0 Interface for online applications. This infrared imager is a full radiometric thermographic device, showing temperature images and profiles of the target area to be observed.
Real-time thermography can be shown with a 100Hz frame rate. This imaging device is accurate within its temperature ranges of -20°C to 100°C, 0°C to 250°C and -120°C to 900°C, with good thermal sensitivity. Accuracy of the thermal imager is to within ±2% or ±2°C of the reading, while resolution is down to 0.1°C. Included are exchangeable lenses with 9° field of view (FOV) and 31° FOV. The thermal sensitivity (NETD) is 0.08K with the 31° FOV.
The operator can use a flexible spot with crosshair marking and a fixed measurement area with automatic display of maximum, minimum or average values. Temperature profiles along defined lines inside the image can be shown in a separate graph. Typical applications of the Micro-Epsilon PI thermal imager are found in R&D departments, test stations and in the field of quality and process control for industries like plastics, thermoforming, automotive, textiles, food, pharmacy and medical engineering.
Beside the digital interface USB2.0 for image processing an additional process interface with 0V to10V analogue output is offered. This online infrafred imaging device is easily integrated into Windows environments like mini PCs and rail mount PCs. An Ethernet connection to control booths makes the application independent from larger distances. The PI Connect software is compatible with Windows XP/ Vista. The optris PI infrared imager is lightweight and one of the smallest in the world. At 250g, the unit is small and easy to use, yet rugged, with an environmental protection rating of IP 65.
