These frictionless position sensors, an alternative to potentiometer replacement sensors, are designed for a range of position measurement applications, including hydraulic cylinder and machine tool positioning, valve position sensing, and in automatic assembly equipment.
The LP750 series frictionless position sensors are suitable for use where installation space is limited. The potentiometer replacement sensors are useful for long stroke applications, where sensor length needs to be essentially the same length as the stroke of the device.
The LP750 series frictionless position sensors are constructed of stainless steel and hermetically sealed against hostile environments to IP-68, so the unit can operate in harsh and corrosive environments.
These frictionless position sensors can function with micro-controlled systems, which allow the signal processing electronics to be located remotely. As there are no moving parts, the unit is maintenance free and lasts long. The LP 750 frictionless position sensors are available in standard ranges of 100mm to 600mm and are offered in either a loop-powered 4-20 mA input/output or a nominal 24V DC input with a pre-calibrated 0 to 10V DC output.
The non-linearity of all sensors within the series is ±0.25% of full-scale output. Other features include high resolution and repeatability, and low hysteresis.
