Bestech Australia offer the KD24S force sensor, from ME Systeme. This S-shaped load cell is compact and is suitable for testing tasks in quality assurance as well as in materials testing. The KD24S force sensor is built of double bending beam construction and can measure in both tension and compression. Force transmissions are arranged centrically. The KD24S force sensor has nominal measurement ranges of between ±2N and ±100N.
Nominal output is 0.5 ± 0.1% mV/V, while zero signal tolerance is ±10% of the measuring range. A supply voltage of 10V or less is suitable. The non-linearity of the load cell is less than 0.1% of the nominal output, while reversal error is also less than 0.1% of the nominal output.
The operating temperature range is -20 to 80°C, while the load cell has a zero point stability of less than 0.02% of the nominal load per °C. The KD24S force sensor can use a measurement range of 20N without restricting the accuracy, which is up to four times their measurement range. Similarly, sensors from 50 to 100N can be operated at up to twice their nominal force range.
