Now available from Bestech Australia , series P200 long range draw wire sensors manufactured by Micro-Epsilon are specially designed for industrial applications in lift engineering, crane systems, forklifts and high bay warehouses.
Draw wire sensors measure linear motion by transforming it into a change in resistance by rotation.
These digital displacement sensors can measure up to 50m, with measuring ranges of 30, 40 and 50 m.
Linearity in the draw wire sensors is ±0.01% FSO, which translates to only ±5mm for the 50m version, and resolution is one sixth of a millimetre.
Output signals can be routed through either an incremental or absolute encoder, with various digital interfaces also available.
The wire is made of highly flexible stainless steel, and is wound onto a drum with the aid of a long life spring motor. This allows for the measurement of the speed and position of the target.
A rugged design and solid high quality components ensures that the sensors have a high operational reliability and long service life, even in harsh industrial environments.
