Bestech Australia introduces a new high temperature pressure transmitter for the biotechnology and food industries. The series 35X HTC pressure transmitters, from Keller in Germany, are piezoresistive high temperature transmitters and are suitable for media temperatures up to 300°C. The pressure acting on the flush diaphragm is transferred over an oil-filled capillary onto the silicon measuring cell. The capillary acts as a cooling spiral, allowing such high media temperatures.
The electronics can also withstand up to 120°C, and can be read out with the PROG30 software. For highly aggressive media, Keller also offers pressure ports in different materials.
Using the Keller software, an RS485 converter and a PC, the pressure can be displayed, the units changed, and a new gain or zero set. The analog output can be set to any range within the compensated range. Up to 128 transmitters can be hooked together to a Bus-system.
The sensor signal is measured up to 500 times per second with a highly precise A/D converter (16bit). After each measurement, the exact pressure value is calculated (linearity and temperature errors are mathematically compensated). The analog output signal is updated via the D/A converter. Pressure ranges for this model are 0...1000 bar, and non-linearity is only 0.05% FS.
