Bestech Australia presents series P200 long range draw wire sensors, from Micro-Epsilon, Germany. The digital draw wire sensors have been specially designed for industrial applications in crane systems, lift engineering, forklifts and high bay warehouses.
The displacement sensors can measure up to 50m, with measuring ranges of 30, 40 and 50 m. Linearity is ±0.01% FSO, which translates to only ±5mm for the 50m version, and resolution is one sixth of a millimetre. Output signals are via either an incremental or absolute encoder, with various digital interfaces available.
The draw wire sensors measure linear motion by transforming it into a change in resistance by rotation. The wire is made of highly flexible stainless steel, and is wound onto a drum with the aid of a long life spring motor. This allows for the measurement of the speed and position of the target.
The rugged housing and solid, high quality components guarantee high operational reliability and a long service life even in difficult industrial environments.
Draw wire sensors are available in Australia and New Zealand from Bestech Australia.
