EDS displacement sensors supplied in Australia and New Zealand by Bestech Australia are especially designed by Micro-epsilon, Germany for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
They also find applications in high vibration environment of stone crushers and mobile cranes because of their robust construction. They measure the displacement and position of pistons and valves. They are also used to measure
• Displacement, distance, position, gap
• Movement, stroke
• Filling level, immersion depth, spring travel
A coil and micro-electronics are integrated in the senor housing. The sensor elements of the EDS series are protected by pressure resistant stainless steel housing. The sensor electronics and signal conditioning are completely integrated in a sensor flange. An aluminium sleeve is used as a target, which is integrated into the piston rod and is passed without making contact and wear-free over the sensor rod.
Due to non contact rugged design of the long-stroke displacement sensors, they have proven themselves not only through their integration in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, but also under other harsh industrial conditions for displacement measurement. EDS long-stroke sensors are factory calibrated and thus ready for use.
