Load pins serve to measure traction force in crane systems, hoppers, process control and onboard vehicle systems. Load pins operate as a double ended shear beam. The middle part of the load pin shaft has a shearing deformation with respect to the two ends.
Based on the advanced metal foil strain gauge technology, the sensing elements of these load pins are strain gauges. These strain gauges form a Wheatstone bridge to sense the deformation of the load pin.
