Bestech Australia presents the optoNCDT 1402 compact laser displacement sensor, from Micro-Epsilon, Germany. This laser sensor makes displacement, distance and position measurements with its integrated, digital signal processor. The sensor measures the distances without contact against a wide variety of material surfaces. It uses a swivelling cable connector and has an RS422 connecting interface.
The compact construction of the laser sensor enables integration inside small areas, including integration into machines. Automation applications are also possible.
This laser sensor can be ordered in a variety of measuring ranges, from 5 to 250 mm. The non-linearity is below 0.18% of the full scale output, with resolution being an impressive 0.01% of full scale.
The variable exposure time adapts itself to the measurement object. The measuring rate is configurable up to 1.5kHz with this laser sensor.
Other features include peak selection, trigger input and teach-in, scalable analogue output as well as RS422.
