MICRO-EPSILON capaNCD 6500 high resolution capacitive sensors from Bestech Australia are very sensitive with sub nanometre precision and resolution.

Sub mm measurements are possible such as the CS005 which has a full range of 0.05mm with the Micro-Epsilon Capacitive sensor range. Other Micro-Epsilon capacitive sensors are available with full scale ranges up to 10mm.

These Micro-Epsilon capacitive sensors virtually eliminate thermal influences and most conductive materials are suitable measurement subjects. Single to multi channel systems are available.

MICRO-EPSILON capaNCD 6500 capacitive displacement measurement systems are available as a single channel unit; however, each 19 inch rack style housing can accommodate signal conditioning for up to 8 channels/sensors. All MICRO-EPSILON capacitive, eddy current and other types of sensors are compatible with the 6500 system where the appropriate cards are installed for sensors other than capacitance types. The appropriate cards are installed for sensors other than capacitance types.

An integral preamplifier, demodulator, and sensor cable is incorporated in A MICRO-EPSILON 6500 capacitive system for each capacitance sensor in the system. The preamplifiers are mounted in the electronics housing for applications where the sensors are within 4m from the 6500 housing. Each sensor has a separate external preamplifier module for where the distance from the housing to the sensor exceeds 4m. An additional preamplifier cable interposes the housing and the preamplifier in such applications.

Users wanting to set up the 6500 system to match the project requirements can make use of the MICRO-EPSILON software available. The software adjusts all the parameters such as the number of channels used, the required scanning rate, the desired filter type, the trigger mode and other functions, and the measurement results can be displayed alpha numerically and graphically.
