Bestech Australia has introduced the FGP general purpose tri-axial accelerometer FA3403. This tri-axial accelerometer uses capacitive technology and offers a full scale range from 2 to 500g and a good signal/noise ratio for static or dynamic measurements up to 700 Hz.
The 23 mm anodised aluminium cube of robust construction and integrated mechanical stops allows for over- ranges up to 2000g without damage and is insensitive to transverse acceleration.
This accelerometer is designed for easy handling and is suitable for a wide range of environmental conditions. In addition, all the channels are independently repairable and the protection index level IP62 is also available on request.
These triaxial accelerometers are able to operate with temperatures from -20°C to 80°C. The unit temperature compensated from 0°C to 60°C. This triaxial accelerometer includes internal conditioning electronics for direct high level voltage output. With a power supply from 10 to 30 Vdc, the sensor provides an analogue output signal of ±4 Vdc. An output of ±2VDC with a zero offset of 2.5VDC is also available.
This triaxial accelerometer finds applications in road testing like wheel base validation, endurance, and vehicle body/comfort noise-measurement and for test rigs and simulation.
The FA3403 tri-axial accelerometer is available in Australia and New Zealand from Bestech Australia.
