Acuity’s compact laser sensors feature a measuring range from 6mm up to 50mm, all with excellent resolution and sensitivity.
Designed to withstand harsh industrial environments, the AR200 laser measurement sensors are used to measure the thickness of steel strips in steel strip mills in addition to applications in the semiconductor industry, automotive testing as well as medical and high tech industries.
The laser used in these laser displacement sensors is a 650nm, class II red visible diode with spot sizes as small as 35µm. Sampling rates can be as high as 1250 samples/second and resolution is only 0.03%.
The output from the laser displacement sensors can be switched using device pushbuttons or through serial commands. These include analogue signals (4-20 mA, 0-10V), limit switch signals and serial output (RS-232 full duplex, binary or ASCII).
AR200 laser displacement sensors can operate in temperatures between 0ºC and 60ºC. Designed for safe operation in rough environments, the sensors come in a compact, dust-resistant and moisture-resistant enclosure case.
