Bestech Australia introduces a new range of 2D/3D laser line scanners featuring a compact and lightweight design.
The scanCONTROL 2600/2900 optoelectronic sensors with integrated controller, flexible installation and interface options measure a mere 96 x 85 x 33mm in dimensions and weigh only 380g.
The new laser profile scanners are designed to deliver powerful performance in a small form factor. scanCONTROL 2600/2900 is particularly ideal for applications that require a low sensor weight, yet be able to provide high-precision profile and dimensional measurements, for example, in automotive production or when sensors are mounted to robot arms.
While the scanCONTROL 2600 offers a measuring rate up to 640 points per profile, the scanCONTROL 2900 offers up to 1280 points per profile and up to 4000 profiles per second can be transferred to a PC for further processing. The measuring range starts at a distance of 53mm from the sensor and can be extended up to 390mm.
Interfaces available for scanCONTROL 2600/2900 laser line scanners include Gigabit Ethernet interface for transferring profiles and a multi-purpose interface for RS422 connections. Digital inputs can be used for synchronising and triggering, or as encoder inputs. An additional output unit can be used to provide more output signals.
Data transfer and configuration of the ME scanCONTROL sensors available from Bestech Australia can be done via software including LabVIEW, in which a 3D model can be generated.
