Bestech Australia present the series 21 Y pressure transmitters from Keller. The series 21 Y pressure transmitters are piezoresistive pressure transmitters, which have a small temperature error. This is achieved by using an additional circuit containing a temperature sensor that subdivides the temperature range into fields that are 1.5 Kelvin wide.
A 2-wire (4-20 mA) or 3-wire version with voltage output is available as an output signal (0V to 10V and 0.5V to 4.5V ratiometric). Measuring ranges can vary from 2 to 1000 bar, and accuracy is good, being typically 0.25% of full scale (combination of linearity, hysteresis and repeatability). The pressure transmitter has an operating temperature of -40 to 100°C, and the unit can survive over 10 million pressure cycles.
Electrical connection is through mPm, M12 and Packard connectors or a cable connection. In the relative pressure version, the ambient pressure is led into the interior through cable or connector.
The series of pressure transmitter is rugged towards electromagnetic fields. The series 21 Y pressure transmitters are also immune to external voltages between the housing and the electrical connection, which is particularly important when the frequency converters are being used. The high insulation voltage of 300V makes the pressure transmitter suitable for harsh environments.
