Benbro Electronics , a leading Australian electronics designer and manufacturer, is celebrating its 25th birthday, marking a quarter of a century of design, development and production of first class Australian-made electronic equipment.
Initially combing skills of electronic know-how with the business and financial acumen to manufacture and sell a limited range of audio equipment, Directors, Steven and John Bennett, have seen the company go from strength to strength since its inception.
To shortly follow, other opportunities began to surface and Benbro expanded its capability and range into power supplies and DC-DC converters, mainly for other OEMs.
Forging a series of strategic partnerships in voltage control, solar power, UHF radio equipment, audio and numerous other electronic development projects along the way, the company's strategic partners today has grown into an impressive list.
A few of Benbros Electronic’s partners include:
- BP Solar
- Eaton Powerware
- Minesite Technologies
- Department of Defence (Navy)
- Eltek Valere
- Queenland Rail
- NSW Police
- Air Services Australia
- West Australian Rail
The ability to problem solve and develop innovative products to meet different requirements is one of Benbro's key strengths. Such is the firm's capability that Benbro products can be found throughout the world, from large solar projects in Malaysia, the Philippines and Columbia to mining communications systems in Australia, Chile and the USA.
Having an international reputation for their employment practices, Benbro was described in an OECD report as a 'best practice employer' for their record in employing and training people with disabilities, at above-award wages and conditions, to manufacture their 'mission critical' products.
