Belden Australia  supply a range of thermocouple extension cables and wires.

The thermocouple extension wire type determines the conductor material of thermocouple extension cable. Cables can be FEP or PVC insulated with FEP or PVC jacket and all PVC-jacketed thermocouple extension cables come with a Nylon rip cord.

All multi-pair PVC constructions include a communication wire. The thermocouple type with FEP insulations and jacketed flat constructions determines the conductor material of a thermocouple wire. FEP thermocouple wire is impervious to chemical attack and is flame retardant.

Temperature ranges are applicable only to the thermocouple conductors and not to the cable. The cable must never be exposed to temperatures higher than the maximum temperature ratings shown in the table below.

Belden thermocouple products can be used in parallel non-shielded extension wire in low noise environments (on recommendation).

In areas where high voltage and current sources create excessive noise interference, an overall shielded construction is recommended. Maximum shield effectiveness can be achieved with the Beldfoil shield with drain wire providing 100% coverage.

Individually shielded pairs are recommended for use in applications where optimum noise rejection is required.
