BEARCAT Tyres has launched a range of over-the-tyre rubber tracks to provide skidsteer loaders with the traction and performance they often lack in tough conditions.
The lastest product from Bearcat is Solideal's over the tyre (OTT) rubber track, known as the Trackmaster.
Suitable for loose, uneven or unstable ground where skidsteers often skid and slip, the Trackmaster offers increased stability, traction, control and manoeuvrability.
As a result, the Trackmaster offers cost savings through faster and more efficient skidsteer operation in challenging ground and weather conditions.
According to Bearcat, extensive testing has proven such claims, with the Trackmaster providing traction far superior to tyres while also improving performance in rough, rocky and muddy ground.
Richard Blacker, regional sales and marketing manager of Bearcat Tyres, said the Trackmaster had been tested in the most hazardous conditions and they had performed well and shown a high degree of reliability.
“What was also apparent was the low cost of ownership and maintenance required. As an all-weather, all-condition track, I think anyone would be hard-pressed to go past these rubber tracks."
As well as performing well, Blacker claims the tracks are easy to fit, taking less than 15 minutes - without the need to demount the wheel or tyre.
Other features include a fully closed flotation surface to ensure debris is not able to travel through open spaces; a self-cleaning tread design; a low weight compared to steel tracks; and no spin between tyres and tracks.
The OTT Trackmaster has been designed to fit tyres of any brand and, based on application, overall diameter and axle distance, Bearcat dealers can recommend the appropriate size and model for individual applications.
