Compressed air is one of the most expensive forms of energy. A large share of the energy costs is due to leaks in the compressed air system. With energy costs increasing rapidly more companies are paying closer attention to the compressed air energy costs. Many plant engineers are not aware
that:

• Up to 85% of the compressed air systems operating costs are energy costs.
• In a typical compressed air plant 30% of the compressors output will be supplying air leaks

The new CS Instruments VA 300 compressed air flowmeter enables a reliable and accurate measurement of flow and air consumption in compressed air and various non-explosive gases.

CS stationary flow and air consumption system consists of wall mountable display (DS 300) and a flow sensor (VA 300). Display and sensor are ready connected via 5 m cable and the display is equipped with a 2 m power cable with plug.

Due to the easy installation of the sensor through a 1/2” ball valve, a flow and air consumption measurement is setup within minutes. Optionally the system can be expanded with data logging, RS-485 and dew point measurement.

Via the integrated USB interface, PC software is used to change configurations and analyze recorded measurement data. The software is available for download from our web page. Of course all important settings can be changed through the easy operation at DS 300.
