PROXIMAX inductive sensors from Balluff-Leuze combine maximum performance, maximum durability and maximum sensing distance to handle the most extreme conditions.
Proximax sensors offer a Duroplast injection moulded sensing face in a high-grade stainless steel housing.
Duroplast is a special mineral-filled and glass reinforced epoxy potting allowing the sensing face to resist abrasion, pitting, hot metal chips, weld slag and withstand a continuous temperature of 195°C.
This guarantees the sensor will hold up against any kind of hot chip. Teflon-coated versions resist weld slag build up on the sensor for added protection.
The Duroplast material surrounds all the vital components of the sensor making it insensitive to shock and vibration. The IP68 rated sensors are immune to solvents, coolants, lubricants and cleaning fluids.
All Proximax versions come standard with extended sensing ranges, which allow the sensor to be mounted further from the target ensuring accurate target detection with decreased impact possibilities.
