KÜBLER, represented in Australia by Balluff-Leuze , has added functions to its Codix process displays. Minimum-maximum detection has been added, along with the default-value setting, the display-hold function to save the read-out, the overflow-underflow signaling and the interval-limiting setting for all input signals.
The displays have been designed for three optional serial interfaces, the RS232, RS422 and RS485. The devices can be parameterised over the interfaces and additional parameter data can be recalled through further processing on the device. The values will be shown with ASCII-characters and are simple to sort and select with the aid of a terminal-editor.
Kübler also offers EZ-Control, enabling a simple operating start for the devices and assuring a reliable operation of all the desired functions. Functions such as upload and download, monitor and terminal program, and the online-view of the measured value can be easily programmed. The status and function protocols of different components can also be set up. Fault-diagnosis informs about possible weak points. Maintenance activities can be performed faster and more efficiently.
Exact matching interface cables grant a quick start of the software and device without major cabling expenditure. An online-help program answers questions about the software.
The CODIX devices comprise displays and controllers in DIN-format, measuring 96mm x 48mm and 48mm x 24mm. The devices are placed in a sealed housing with an IP65 protection index and can control volume flow, filling levels, pressure or temperature.
All devices can operate with supply voltages from 10V to 30V dc or from 90V to 260V ac. Auxiliary voltages of 24V dc and 10V dc are also offered to supply external sensors and components.
