LEUZE Lumiflex, represented in Australia by Balluff-Leuze , has released the Vario switching light grid for applications like pallet control where sensors with more than one light axis are required.

It produces an optical lattice from many infrared light axles and generates a reliable switching signal as soon as objects penetrate the sensor field. The transmitter and receivers are accommodated in slim profiles with a cross section of 10mm x 27mm and 12mm x 58mm respectively.

The factory-installed pre-parameterisation and the application-specific receiver calibration function provide for a simple and fast start-up. Beam distances of 5mm, 12.5mm, 25mm, 50mm and 100mm are possible, as are monitoring field heights of 35mm to 3100mm.

Its small design as well as the integrated evaluation unit make the switching light grid an economical and flexible sensor.
