BALLUFF-Leuze has released the BCL 8 industrial barcode reader.
It can read all code types and Pharmacode in almost any optimal position. This makes it suitable as part of the pharmaceutical logistic chain, for example in automated analysis and sample conveying devices.
The switching input and output are fully operational when working in parallel mode in conjunction the MA 8 interfacing unit. This allows reference-based label monitoring without the need for an additional control system. This allows the extended use of barcode technology in compact packaging machines where space is at a premium.
The laser beam positioning system allows line areas which need not be suppressed. The BCL 8's software permits automatic code recognition which identifies the code type and number of digits where these are not known to the user. The Autoconfig function also takes care of automatic setting of the code being scanned. The Autoreflact function automatically activates the barcode reader when a product passes by. This eliminates the need for an additional sensor.
Applications include take-back systems involving bar-coded products such as video or DVD rentals or to manage streamer tapes in data storage systems.
