THE new Kubler 903/904 series electronic preset counters, available from Balluff-Leuze , offer many possible functions.
Operation modes include quantity, lengths and position displays as well as controlling number of revolutions (rpm) or timing functions.
The 903 counter has one preset value and the 904 two.
Setting the preset values, resetting and programming the functions are all performed using only four keys. Due to one function per key and a text menu, operating the counter is easy. Current count value and preset value can be read simultaneously.
When using the units for speed and frequency counting, incoming signals can be evaluated with a factor between 0.0001 and 9.9999. Count direction, differential counting or quadrature inputs are all included options.
PNP or NPN inputs can be accepted making the connection to almost all encoders possible. The counters even supply the necessary supply voltage to the encoder.
Maximum count frequency is 10kHz. By using a switch this can be limited to 30Hz on each channel separately. Different operating modes allow up/down count of seconds, minutes and hours.
In all there are 13 different time measuring evaluations. Built in a DIN sized (48 x 48mm) IP65 housing, the counter comes complete with a set of adaptor frames suitable for mounting in a standard 50 x 50mm cut-out as well as a template for easy panel cut-out.
Supply voltages of 11-30V dc and 90-250V ac, 50/60Hz are available.
