BALLUFF-Leuze has released HRT 96-5000 WW (wide-angle) laser light scanner with background suppression. With the aid of a reflex foil it offers maximum scanning depth for transport operations on the straight and around corners of 5m and 2.5m respectively.
The sensor offers excellent background suppression. It recognises only the foil and is not susceptible to spurious signals from metallic or reflective objects. The laser light scanner operates in accordance with the proven phase measurement principle, which measures the distance as a result of the phase shift between the transmitted and the received signal. The use of this measurement principle guarantees a switching point reproduction accuracy of ±20mm.
The system also offers switching points for creep speed and stop command with teach-in setting facility, coloured LEDs for status display and dark switching outputs for cable breakage monitoring.
