BALLUFF-Leuze has released the BIL non-contact analogue position sensor. The magnetoinductive linear position sensor provides accurate and continuous positioning information.
It is designed to replace wear-prone devices such as potentiometers. Its resistance to shock, vibration, and moisture makes it suitable harsh industrial applications. Existing motion control systems can be affordably upgraded, particularly in applications including monitoring pneumatic clamp positioning, robot gripper status, and linear motion on packaging machinery.
The sensor is 95mm long, with linearised stroke information up to 50mm, and non-linearised stroke information up to 60mm to deliver continual absolute positioning feedback. Voltage and current output versions are available.
