Baldors broad line of DC products include the range of Battery Powered Low Voltage DC Motors and Solar Powered DC Motors.

Battery Powered Motor Range
Battery Powered Low Voltage motor range includes TEFC and TENV motor designs, with
  • Compound Wound
  • Shunt Wound
  • Series Wound
  • Permanent Magnet winding designs
These are available with Rigid Base or Flange Mount, in either IEC or NEMA dimensions.
DC Power Motors
Some applications require a DC electric motor to operate from a NEMA Type A power supply, a DC generator or back-up battery system. For these jobs, Baldor manufactures a lineup of DC Power Motors, these motors are typically compound wound, but are available in shunt or series construction.

36 VDC Series Wound
Some ratings are also available as permanent magnet. More and more vehicles are being powered from batteries. Baldor is a long time supplier of energy efficient DC motors for electric vehicles. Our 36 VDC Series Wound NEMA 66CZ is designed for use in personnel Carriers and Electric Golf Cars etc and are designed with an appropriate intermittent duty cycle.

Baldors Solar Powered DC Motors
Solar Powered DC Motors have 29 VDC and 58 VDC windings. Rigid base TEFC constructions are designed to be directly powered from solar cells.

Battery Powered DC Motor
Baldor also offers a Battery Powered DC Motor Control via single-ended or wig-wag speed potentiometer or 0-5 VDC signal following. This variable speed controller is a DC-DC controller, powered from a 12 - 48VDC supply.
