BAHCO Tools has released the Bahco 1520 compact power cutter. It has a high-frequency hardened edge and an enhanced joint construction for high leverage.
The span of the pliers combined with the two component handles allow for a secure, comfortable grip. It can cut hard materials such as piano wire up to 3.8mm in diameter.
It can also cut 6mm copper wire and 4mm steel wire. A recess in the blade close to the joint prevents hard, thick wires from gliding out of the cutters' jaws. The Bahco 1520 is made in black oxidised chrome-vanadium steel.
The Bahco 1520G has two-component handles with a thermoplastic surface on tough polypropylene. The handles have a large surface area that effectively reduces stress on the hand during use while the material provides a sturdy grip.
The Bahco 1520D has smooth, plastic-dipped handles that reduce friction. These make the cutter easy to hold and easy to place in the tool belt.
