BACKPLANE Systems Technology will be exhibiting Digital-Logic's Microspace-PC30 (MPC30) one of the smallest and quietest PCs for industrial and professional applications, at Automate Melbourne 2004.
The computer is remarkable for its small dimensions of only 159mm x 148mm x 66mm, and its attractive design.
It is equipped with the latest low-consumption components, and uses powerful low-voltage Intel(r) Pentium(r) CPUs and a passive cooling system. Since no fan is installed, so the noise level is extremely low.
The MPC30 model is based on a 700MHz Intel Pentium III processor and has a 256kB L2 cache and 256MB memory. Also integrated are two PS/2 interfaces for keyboard and mouse, two USB interfaces, and ports for printer, COM1 and optional COM2.
The PC is equipped with a 2.5" hard disk with a capacity of 20GB and a DVD/CD Combo drive as mass storage media. In addition, the PC offers a 100/10Base-T (RJ45) LAN interface and Firewire IEEE1394.
The MPC30 supports an analogue or LCD SVGA monitor via VGA connector or a television screen via TV-Out on the rear. It provides an optional LVDS port with a serial interface for special applications like digital LCDs with touch screen.
Digital-Logic´s MPC30 is designed for continuous operation. This means that the computer can be booted once and never switched off after that.
The power consumption of the PC is typically 40W and 5W in power-saving mode during periods of inactivity.
The MPC Series also offers a range of micro PCs to suit a variety of applications, including in-vehicle computing, rugged and military appliances.
This lightweight, compact and high functionality PC is suitable for applications in noise or dust-sensitive environments such as industrial, commercial or medical.
