BACKPLANE Systems Technology has released Digital-Logic's PC/104-Plus CPU modules with integrated high-performance graphics.
The MSMP3SEG and MSMP5SEG compact single board computers are based on a highly-integrated 300MHz to 700MHz fast smartCoreP3 CPU module with a Pentium III processor or a smartCoreP5 CPU module with Pentium MMX and a performance of 166MHz to 266MHz. Both boards have storage capabilities from 32MB to 256MB of SDRAM.
The extended range of interfaces includes PS/2 keyboard/mouse ports, IDE hard disk, floppy disk, printer, two USB and four serial ports. Additional technical features include a watchdog timer, 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller, EEPROM support and an external IrDA port.
An ATI Rage Mobility M1 Video controller with 8MB of integrated video memory provides graphics support. The graphics accelerator controls the latest LCD technology using a 24-bit TFT LCD interface (3V/5V). It achieves SXGA resolutions of up to 1280 x 1024 pixels and a maximum colour depth of 256 bits.
The CPU boards are equipped to support 2D, 3D and DVD performance. Two equal or two different images can be displayed with a combination of LVDS plus CRT and accordingly LVDS plus DVI or TV. Long-term availability is guaranteed.
