BACKPLANE Systems Technology has announced the release of Axiom's first PICMG Pentium 4/Celeron single board computer, the SBC81820VEEE.
This full-length board's Intel 845 chipset supports differential FSB up to 400MHz, while three 168-pin DIMM sockets support up to 3GB SDRAM. In addition, the board features an onboard DiskOnChip socket.
The SBC81820VEEE supports ATA-100 EIDE for fast data transfer and an onboard SMI 712 VGA controller with integrated 4MB V-RAM.
The board features two asynchronous serial ports, one bi-directional parallel port, a floppy controller to support two drives and a 6-pin Mini-DIN connector for a mouse or keyboard.
The single board computer features triple LAN, each supporting 10/100BASE-T Ethernet and Wake On LAN. The SBC81820VEEE also supports an onboard Mini PCI connector for flexible feature expansion. A PCI-ISA bridge is available for ISA expansion.
The SBC81820VEEE has been designed to meet the needs of a range of high-end industrial applications such as servers and industrial automation.
