Backplane Systems Technology have announced the release of the MI810, the latest Mini-ITX motherboard from iBase Technology. This fanless board offers a powerful Intel Atom 1.6Ghz N270 CPU with the new 945GSE graphics chipset while maintaining low power consumption.
The MI810 can support up to 2GB of DDR2 system memory, and a compact flash socket offering solid state storage if required. The board has one PCI slot, one PCI-Express (1x) slot, and a Mini PCI-Express slot on the solder side for expansion purposes.
It also has 2x LAN ports, one being 10/100 speed and the other at Gigabit speed. The MI810 has optional VGA, DVI or Dual LVDS display outputs. The further connectivity of the board consists of 2x Sata II ports, 8x USB (2.0) ports, 1x IDE port, 3x RS232 ports, and an RS232/422/485 port.
The MI810 also has many additional features like a watchdog timer adjustable from 1-255sec, as well as direct 12Vdc and 19Vdc input which alleviates the requirement for any internal power supply when being built into a chassis. An on board power connector for a HDD or CD-ROM is available. The MI810 will appeal to a range of applications from commercial through to industrial.
